Thaw the ampule and aseptically transfer the material to 10 ml of ATCCmedium 1361 in a T-25 tissue culture flask. Add one sterile rice grain. DO NOT distribute the thawed material to a larger volume of medium. It is essential to first establish the culture in a small volume. Screw cap on tightly and incubate the flask horizontally at 25C. The culture should be ready to subculture in 5-7 days. To subculture, rub the surface of the flask with a sterile cotton swab, vigorously agitate the flask, and aseptically transfer a 0.1 ml aliquot to 10 ml of ATCCmedium 1361 containing a single rice grain. Incubate as above.
Permits/Forms: In addition to the MTA mentioned above, other ATCC and/or regulatory permits may be required for the transfer of this ATCC material. Anyone purchasing ATCC material is ultimately responsible for obtaining the permits. Please click here for information regarding the specific requirements for shipment to your location.
