Effect : Yes, in vitro effects: Cytopathic effects in tissue culture
Comments : A recombinant virus consisting of a TK -vaccinia (VTK-11) with an HSV-TK insert which is expressed. Two copies of the herpes virus BamHI fragment coding for TK were cloned (head to tail) into the BamHI site of the vaccinia HindIII F-fragment. This construct was then cloned into VTK-11 by in vivo recombination. [13123]
