Host Organism : HeLa cells (ATCCCCL-2); CV-1 (ATCCCCL-70); Vero (ATCCCCL-81); chicken embryo fibroblast
Effect : Yes, in vitro effects: Cytopathic effects in tissue culture
Comments : A recombinant virus containing the HSV-1 Bgl/BamH1 TK-fragment in the vaccinia VTK-79L vector. This clone shows a higher level of TK expression than variants vP-2, vP-4 (ATCCVR-2033), or vP-6 (ATCCVR-2029). [13130] A BglII-BamHI fragment encoding HSV-1 TK (minus the regulatory sequences) was cloned into one of the BamHI sites of an AvaI fragment from the vaccinia L-variant. This construct was then cloned into VTK-79L (ATCCVR-2056) by in vivo recombination. [13130]
