Comments : SIZE: 20-30 nm. RNA. Specific gravity: 1.33gm/cm^3. Resistant to chloroform, trypsin, pepsin and deoxyribonuclease. Protected against effect of heat by divalent magnesium ion. It is recommended that chick embryos from pathogen free flocks be used as hosts to ensure that they are susceptible to the avian encephalomyelitis virus.
