Comments : Inoculation of virus i. d. produces localized inflammatory swelling which extends into the subcutaneous tissue. Such tumors constitute a goodsource of virus. Domestic rabbits generally survive infection and after recovery are more resistant than normal rabbits to myxoma virus. Stored virus should be passaged once or twice before use in large-scale experimental work.
