Comments : This product is a murine monoclonal antibody (IgG1; kappa light chain) to the HA1 domain of the H7 hemagglutinin of an avian influenza A virus, strain A/chicken/Netherlands/1/03 (H7N7). The source hybridoma was derived by immunization of a BALB/c mouse, followed by fusion of splenocytes from the immunized animal with Sp2/0-Ag14 cells ( ATCCCRL-1581). The antibody preparation supplied is affinity purified from serum free supernatants of cultured cells. It is provided at 1 mg/ml in D-PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 0.1 ml per vial. Monoclonal antibody 3D3 (ATCCVR-1641) reacts specifically with influenza A virus H7 hemagglutinin by ELISA against recombinant proteins. It does not cross react with other HA types evaluated to date (H1, H2, H3, H5, H9). 3D3 is useful for western blotting and ELISA applications. Its use for immunofluorescence and ability to neutralize virus have not yet been investigated.
