Comments : Highly cell associated. Serotype 1 Marek's disease virus. Considered a very virulent strain (vvMDV). Has high virulence in HVT immunized or genetically resistant chickens. Frozen infected cells should be thawed quickly in 37C water bath and immediately diluted in 3-5 volumes of fresh medium. After the cells attach they should be fed with fresh medium.
