Effect : Yes, Cytopathic effect: Rounding and sloughing of infected cells
Comments : Selected after mutagenesis with nitrosoguanidine and replication in the presence of bromodeoxyuridine. The non-permissive incubation temperature is 39.5oC. This mutant was assigned to Dales EM category J indicating, that it is a composite of E,F, and I, characterized by induction of foci of viroplasm, aberrant memberanes, DNA paracrystals and immature particles in infected cells. The mutation was assigned by complementation analysis (Lackner, et al, 2003) to vaccinia map location U20.
