Permits/Forms: In addition to the MTA mentioned above, other ATCC and/or regulatory permits may be required for the transfer of this ATCC material. Anyone purchasing ATCC material is ultimately responsible for obtaining the permits. Please click here for information regarding the specific requirements for shipment to your location.
Tested Positive for Mycoplasma : No
Incubation : Temperature: 31.0°C Duration: 1-3 days; For best results, cells should be 24 to 48 hours old and 80-90% confluent at time of infection [not 100% confluent].
Effect : Yes, Cytopathic effect: Rounding and sloughing of infected cells
Comments : Selected after mutagenesis with nitrosoguanidine. The non-permissive incubation temperature is 39.5oC. This mutant was not assigned to a Dales EM category. The mutation was assigned by complementation analysis (Lackner, et al, 2003) to vaccinia map location U4.
