Effect : Yes, Cytopathic effect: Rounding and sloughing of infected cells
Comments : Selected after mutagenesis with nitrosoguanidine and replication in the presence of bromodeoxyuridine. The non-permissive incubation temperature is 39.5oC. This mutant was assigned to Dales EM category H indicating that it is a composite of groups D, E and F, with foci of viroplasm, DNA paracrystals, and abberant membranes with and without spicules. The mutation was assigned by complementation analysis (Lackner, et al, 2003) to vaccinia map location U14.
