Host Organism : Production Host: BSC-40 (ATCCCRL-2761) Alternate Host(s): MRC-5, BS-C-1, HeLa, LLC-MK2
Incubation : 1-3 days at 31 C with 5% CO2
Effect : Cytopathic effects in cell culture include cell rounding and death, with eventual sloughing
Store at : -70 C or lower
Comments : Selected after mutagenesis with nitrosoguanidine. The non-permissive incubation temperature is 39.5oC. This mutant was assigned to Dales EM categories G and I, indicating that it is characterized by incomplete membranes with spicules, and produces some complete immature particles. The mutation was assigned by complementation analysis (Lackner, et al, 2003) to vaccinia map location F10, a viral serine/threonine kinase. [70405]
