Comments : Selected after mutagenesis with nitrosoguanidine. The non-permissive incubation temperature is 39.5oC. This mutant was assigned a Dales EM category of P, characterized by immature normal particles and mature particles with cores that are predominantly lucent at the center. The mutation was assigned by complementation analysis (Lackner, et al, 2003) to vaccinia map location U7.
