This antibody blocks iron uptake and cell proliferation of most murine hematopoietic cell lines and primary cell cultures.

Propagation: ATCC complete growth medium: Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium with 4 mM L-glutamine adjusted to contain 1.5 g/L sodium bicarbonate and 4.5 g/L glucose and supplemented with 0.02 mM 2-mercaptoethanol and 10% horse serum

Subculturing: Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 1 X 10(5) cells/ml and maintain between 1 X 10(5) and 1 X 10(6) cells/ml.
