Comments:Rats were immunized with syngeneic normal rat kidney cells (NRK) that had been infected with Harvey murine sarcoma virus.
Spleen cells were fused with 210RCY3 Ag 1.2.3 myeloma cells.
The antibody is specific for the Ha-ras (Harvey) p21 and does not react with the p21 of Ki-ras (Kirsten).
Propagation: ATCC complete growth medium: The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
Atmosphere: air, 95%; carbon dioxide (CO2), 5%
Temperature: 37.0°C
Growth Conditions: Maintain the cell density between 1 X 10(5) and 1 X 10(6) viable cells/ml. Do not allow the density to exceed 1 X 10(6) cells/ml.
Subculturing: Protocol: Dislodge attached cells from the substrate with a cell scraper, aspirate and dispense into new flasks.
Medium Renewal: two to three times weekly
