Produces glidobactin complex (U.S. Pat. 4,692,510) (4996), glidobactin complex (U.S. Pat. 4,692,510) (4997). Member of the Rhizobacter cluster within the order Burkholderiales, motile rods. It is therefore questionable whether the culture represents the organism described by M. Oka et al.. (Medium 67, 25°C).
