ATCC medium: 1267 Marine glucose-trypticase-yeast extract
MEDIUM (MGTY):
Glucose..................................0.2 g
Trypticase Peptone (BD 211921)...........0.1 g
Yeast extract............................0.1 g
L-Cysteine . HCl.........................0.05 g
Resazurin (0.1% wt/vol)..................0.1 ml
Tris-hydrochloride buffer (5.0 mM)*......5.0 ml
Agar (if needed).........................0.8 g
Seawater................................75.0 ml
Distilled water.........................20.0 ml
Adjust final pH to 7.5. Cap with butyl rubber stoppers under 97% N2, 3% H2. Autoclave in press for 15 minutes under fast exhaust.
*(pH of 5.0 mM Tris-hydrochloride solution is 7.5 at 30C)
