Beef Liver Broth (see below)…………………………..1000 ml
Adjust to pH 8.0 +/- 0.2. Filter through paper and make up volume to 1 liter, if necessary. Boil broth and cool under N2. Into each culture tube, place about 5 mg of CaCO3 and add meat to about 1/2 inch.
Dispense about 6 ml of broth into each tube under the same gas. Seal with robber stopper. Autoclave at 121?C.
Beef Liver Broth Cut up 500 grams of beef liver into small pieces. Add to 1 liter of tap water. Soak overnight in refrigerator. Skim off fat from surface of liquid. Autoclave at 121?C for 10 minutes. Filter through cheesecloth. Save meat.
