ATCC幽門螺桿菌(Helicobacter pylori,Hp)是一種專性微需氧菌。它的穩(wěn)定生長需要依靠在生長的微環(huán)境中含2-8%的O2。因此,它在大氣中和絕對厭氧條件下均不能生長。從臨床標本中分離野生株都必需補充適量的CO2。而且它生長緩慢,通常需要3-5d,甚至更長時間,才能形成針尖狀小菌落。為了避免快速生長的兼性厭O2菌和霉菌等的過度生長,常需加入由萬古霉素、TMP、兩性霉素、多粘菌素等組合的抑菌劑。 幽門螺桿菌在液體培養(yǎng)基中生長更加困難。這可能與在液體里面更難保證菌體周圍穩(wěn)定的微含O2量環(huán)境有關(guān)。 在血瓊脂中,幽門螺桿菌不能在含有5%膽汁的情況下生長。將細菌暴露于含有5%膽汁的液體培養(yǎng)基中30min,有25%的幽門螺桿菌被殺死。這說明幽門螺桿菌通過十二指腸時尚有生存的可能性。
